I'm MaryEllen
I love Arizona! It is so special to have the Catalina Mountains right behind the house. I can ride or hike year round and watch all the different birds, butterflies and wildlife.
Our own gardens keep me busy at our place and CJ is always adding another plant to learn and tend. (I guess you can tell that I like to 'go outside'.)
Racing bikes really isn't my thing, but being a 'race-pace' challenged rider does have some benefits! I was the 'recovery' rider on a couple of 24 hour bike race teams. I would take my time and enjoy the ride on the course. I had a great time and the whole team could rest. Kathy, (on my right) and Laura (my left) are fast, still with mud all over their smiling faces.
So, all the professional stuff…
My fortieth college reunion is approaching, I have a pilot's license, real estate license, teaching certification in Arizona and Illinois (I still substitute teach), blah, blah, blah…
So, now, all the personal stuff…
4 grown sons, like to travel, meet new people, ride my bike, hike, putter, marvel at, and hang out in the WOW gardens with the birds, butterflies, and various other critters.
Join ME for a hike or ride into the mountains.
I walk the technical areas and like a nice casual ride into the foothills. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't go out on the 'hard trails', it just means I won't be 'hitting the jumps' with you!!
I enjoy hiking, too. When the summer gets warm, afternoon/evening hikes are a special thing. It is a bit warm to start, but as the sun sets, and you come down the trail, it is beautiful.
I'm learning all of our butterflies by assisting CJ in a weekly butterfly count, here at our place. Come join us on a Sunday!
